About Morgans Butchery

Morgans Butchery is the result of a collaboration between Barney Morgan and Julia Wetherell (formerly Morgan), both proud residents of Clapton. Driven by our love for food and the local community, we embarked on a new venture to reintroduce a much-needed quality butcher shop to Chatsworth Road, which had been absent for quite some time.

In August 2022, our doors opened, with a simple mission. We wanted to not only to offer the finest produce sourced within the UK, prioritizing sustainability and animal welfare, but also to become a trusted and valued part of the local community. Our goal was to provide a friendly and approachable service to our neighbors, ensuring affordability without compromising on quality.

At Morgans Butchery, we are dedicated to stocking only meticulously chosen produce from small independent UK farms. These farms prioritize the careful and respectful raising of their animals. We take immense pride in our selection of grass-fed, free-range, and low-intervention products. By choosing us, you can be confident that your purchase has had the least possible impact on the world around us.

We are lucky to have a fantastic team of butchers and support staff.

 

Frankie has been practicing butchery for 8 years, training at the Parsons Nose Butcher in west London. His meat preparation and sausage making skills are second to none. Frankie is a true grafter, once he enters the doors, he doesn’t stop until he leave

Valentin is our new butcher, hailing from France, he brings exceptional experience and butchery skills as well as well as authentic French sausage making.

Gabe oversees the Rotisserie as his primary role, but he has become an invaluable part of our family. His exceptional skills as a sausage maker and his hardworking nature make him an asset in every area of the shop. Gabe's tireless efforts and commitment are indispensable.
